Exhibition of new work by Jake Singer, Sethembile Msezane, Alice Gauntlett, Marcus Viljoen, Gaelen Pinnock and Maryke Van Rensburg. Curated by Michaela Limberis, exploring GRID's theme 'Constructions',works are divided into 4 stages:
Excavation
Alice Gauntlett and Marcus Viljoen in Block B - ceremonial room, now offices.

Gaelen Pinnock and Jake Singer in Secunde's House - Residential area (for 2nd in command) of the castle that also came housed ammunition.

Maryke Van Rensburg in the Arsenal (outside the main entrance of the Castle) - The arsenal was used to store weapons and ammunition.
Hand-Over
Performance by Sethembile Msezane communicating the unsettled history of Krotoa - a Khoi leader who served as an interpreter for the Dutch. Krotoa was buried on Robben Island but her body was exhumed and buried at the Castle.
